Freight Science is bringing advanced data and analytics to enable large asset carriers to automate logistics and respond to rapidly changing market conditions.
The client was in the process of developing a comprehensive suite of innovative tools aimed at providing carriers with the distinct advantage of harnessing real-time advanced analytics and precise, data-fueled decision-making capabilities. As part of this initiative, I was contracted to contribute to the seamless rollout and meticulous design of the user interface and its key elements. My role centered on ensuring a user-friendly experience and intuitive functionality for the target audience.

The balance map, a crucial tool for network management, offers real-time visibility into the balance of network assets and available loads. This invaluable feature allows users to project data well into the future, encompassing the period as far out as loads are booked.

The freight acceptance process plays a critical role in shaping daily operations, influencing revenue, profit, loaded and empty miles, and service quality. This pivotal decision, already challenging in nature, becomes further entangled due to silos stemming from diverse customer or regional business models, as well as technological barriers.

Users are now able to identify lanes they aren’t committed on, enabling them to negotiate more profitable relationships and capitalize on new avenues for growth and success.
